Heavenly Light B defeated Heavenly Light A in the final of the Network Deliverance Ministry’s Inter-Church Futsal football competition at the National Gymnasium Saturday evening.
The B team defeated the A team 3 – 2 in the final while Elim B thrashed Love and Faith 10 – 3 to secure the third place spot in the tournament.
Stellon David recorded a double for Heavenly Light B with Michael Young netting the other goal while Trevon Lytchott and Paul Bobb scored one goal each for the A team.
In the third place play-off Phillip Rowley put on a fantastic performance netting five of his team’s 10 goals while Timothy Telford chipped in with a double and Kevin Jackson, Jimmy Carter and Owin Pinder scoring one goal each for Elim B.
Dillon Cadogan scored a double and John Harrison, the other goal for Love and Faith.
In semi-final one Heavenly Light B led by a double from Zafanauth Peters and a single goal from David got past Elim B 3-1. Philip Rowley scored the lone goal for Elim B.
Heavenly Light A defeated Love and Faith 3 – 0 to enter the final with Cadogan, Jolyon Harry and Lytchott the successful goal scorers.
