A 47-year-old man was discovered dead in a trench at Unity, Mahaica on Friday morning, after an apparent epileptic fit.
Dead is Hardat Singh of Lot 16 President Street. Stabroek News was told that from all appearances the man suffered an epileptic fit on the road and rolled into a nearby trench. The water was high and the man drowned.
Someone passing saw his cap on the road and later made the discovery.
His relatives were informed around 1 pm.
