PNCR hopes nation is overcome with goodwill

The PNCR has extended wishes for peace and happiness in keeping with the spirit of sharing and goodwill for the Christmas season.

The party also extended Kwanzaa greetings to its adherents, a press release said.

At the same time PNCR leader Robert Corbin said he is cognizant of the fact that many citizens will not be able to enjoy a bright Christmas due to harsh economic, social and weather constraints.

The party said it has been a particularly difficult year for public servants who have not benefited from the usual year-end increase in wages and salaries; teachers are in a similar position and single parents had their hopes for the implementation of the Single Parents Fund dashed. It said too the spiralling cost of living had effectively reduced persons buying power with widows, orphans and pensioners being the worst affected.

In the light of this the PNCR urged citizens to remember the true meaning of Christmas and the message of hope and deliverance it brings. The party said too that as citizens enjoy the traditional ginger beer and pepper pot they should extend kindness to the destitute and disadvantaged.
