Robbed at Yarrowkabra on Christmas Eve

It was while walking along a track at Yarowkabra, Soesdyke/Linden Highway on Christmas Eve night that a 25-year-old man had his shoes stolen.

Nolan Johnson, according to a police press release issued yesterday, was walking along the highway when he was attacked and robbed by two men. One of the men was armed with a handgun. The men, the police said, held Johnson at gunpoint and relieved him of a quantity of silver jewelry, a cellular phone, $3000 cash and his shoes before escaping.

Further, according to the release, a quick response by the police led to the arrest of a suspect who has been identified as being involved in the robbery.

The man is in police custody and charges will be laid against him shortly.
