Boxing fans can catch the action-packed light heavyweight rematch between Chad Dawson and Antonio Tarver at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas live on DIRECTV today from 9:30 pm ET on Channel 524, a press release stated.
Chad Dawson (27-0, 17 KOs) is a rising star, coming into his prime at age 26 and making his much-anticipated HBO debut.
Dawson is quickly becoming the most feared competitor in the light heavyweight division. Exploding onto the scene with a spotless professional record, he has dominating speed, size and athleticism.
In the 12th round of his first encounter with the crafty Tarver last October, Dawson delivered a blow that sent his rival to the mat and eventually claimed victory.
Dawson’s opponent Saturday is once again the formidable Antonio Tarver of Orlando, Fl. (27-5, 19 KOs). Motivated to erase his loss to Dawson, Tarver brings a perfect 3-0 record in ring rematches, having turned the tables already on Eric Harding, Roy Jones Jr. and Glen Johnson in the sequel to those encounters.
Tarver was overpowered in his first battle with Dawson but with time to reassess his opponent he is determined to settle the score that is once again taking place in the hot spotlight of Las Vegas, the release added.
