Guyana’s Sachia Vickery signed by Lagardere-Unlimited

She has been endorsed by none other than Richard Williams and if you don’t know who that is then you are not a lawn tennis fan.

She has also won a scholarship to the famous Nick Bolletteri Academy in Bradenton, USA and has racked up a slew of accolades including winning her first International Tennis Federation’s (ITF) Girls’ 18 years and under event.

And so with the sponsors literally falling over her feet it came as no surprise when Lagardere-Unlimited announced it has signed rising tennis star Sachia Vickery, 14, of Hollywood, Florida to a contract.

Vickery is currently ranked number 112 in the International Tennis Federation’s Junior World Singles Ranking, list and won her first Junior ITF Girl’s 18 and Under event in 2008 at the Copa Cariari in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Williams, father of Grand Slam champions Venus and Serena has said of Vickery:”The next Venus and Serena is on the way.”

Ken Meyerson, head of Lagardere-Unlimited’s sports and entertainment division, signed Vickery to Lagardere-Unlimited and will co-represent Vickery with Johnny Williams from RRA Sports and Entertainment (based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida).

Lagardere-Unlimited is headquartered in of Paris, with its tennis division based in Miami, Florida.
