Leguan power to restored tomorrow – GPL

The Guyana Power and Light (GPL) wishes to advise its customers at Leguan that electricity service to the island is expected to be  restored by tomorrow, as efforts are being made to return the generating set which serves the island to service as soon as possible.

According to a release from the power company, its generating set at Leguan developed some mechanical problems on Sunday last which resulted in service to the island being disrupted.

GPL stated that it regrets any inconvenience caused to consumers on the Essequibo Island, and thanked them for their patience and understanding, as the company assures that every effort is being made to return the unit to service.
