Kidnapped Colombia governor has been killed-official

BOGOTA, (Reuters) – A Colombian governor kidnapped  by leftist rebels had been killed shortly after he was snatched  from his home in a rural southern state, authorities said yesterday.

Acting Caqueta state governor, Patricia Vega, told local  radio the government had confirmed Caqueta governor Luis  Cuellar had been killed. He was dragged from his home by armed  rebels on Monday in a surprise night-time raid.
