Rain, no Milo Under-21

Persistent rain yesterday made the Tucville Playfield unfit for play and forced the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) to cancel the quarterfinal double header which was scheduled to be played there.

The programmed double header which had Santos FC meeting Sunburst Camptown in the curtain raiser and Fruta Conquerors being opposed by BK International Western Tigers will be contested tomorrow at the said venue.

Today Camptown will have the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) clashing with Riddim Squad and Pele FC battling with Uprising at 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm respectively.

Sunburst Camptown defeated BK Int’l 1–0  while Black Pearl steamrolled Alpha United 4–1 in the final preliminary round match-ups.

Pele and Santos finished on top of group A with eight points each, trailed by Riddim Squad and University of Guyana with six and four points respectively whilst Black Pearl accumulated 12 points and commanded group B which had Uprising (9), Alpha United (6) and Thomas United (3) trailing by some distance.
