Wisburg students tour GWI water treatment plant

Class teacher Evette Antony said the students were required to study the water purification process as part of the syllabus.

According to a press release, Antony said, “Seeing the process firsthand has given them a tremendous understanding of the importance of the purification process and the vital role GWI plays with regard to public health.”

During the tour GWI said it also highlighted the issue of waste by customers and the students were urged to spread the message of conservation in their school and home environments. They were also guided on how to identify leaks and other water conservation methods necessary in the light of the looming global water scarcity.
