Young Warriors survive scare to beat Albion

In the semi-finals played last week-end Young Warriors had to dig deep into their talent pool to get past a youthful Albion team.

Only Rajendra Dasrat of the remaining batsman reached double figures with 13 as Richard Ramdeen took 3-21 from eight overs while off spinner Farouk Hussain captured  2-3 from 3.5 overs and left arm pacer Davendra Ramoutar 2-41.

In reply Young Warriors found themselves in deep trouble at 53 for 4 in the 12th over. Albion however let Young Warriors off the hook with some loose bowling from the supporting bowlers as Daryl Narine and Riaz Kassim put on 137 for the fifth wicket to take the home team to victory at 190 for 4 in the 31st over.

Narine was unbeaten on 73 and Kassim on 65 when victory came. Chattergoon was Albion’s best bowler with 2 for 45 off his 10 overs.
