Amerindian hostel guest bled to death – PME

A post-mortem examination (PM) which was performed on the body of Evelyn Daniels, the woman who was found dead with her throat slit at the Amerindian Hostel in the city last week, gave her cause of death as haemorrhage and shock due to laceration.

According to a release from the police, the PM was carried out on the body of the 63-year old woman of Matthews Ridge, North West District by Dr V Brijmohan on Friday.

The Ministry of Amerindian Affairs, in a press release on Friday stated that its initial probe into the recent death of the woman indicated a case of suicide. The ministry in a press release on Friday stated that the woman was found inflicting fatal wounds to her self at the facility.
