A Brazilian miner was killed on Thursday after a branch from a tree he was cutting with a chainsaw at Acquero Backdam, North West District, fell on his head.
Police, in a statement yesterday, identified the dead man as Edmilson Vitor Dosantos, age 40. According to the police, the incident occurred during morning hours. The man’s body has since been transferred to Georgetown and investigations are being conducted.
