Nicholas Alexander

The man who lived at 19 Hodge Lane, Christianburg, Wismar went missing last week Monday after he left his home for a friend’s house at Mackenzie. According to his daughter-in-law Patrice Campbell she last saw him alive last week Monday before he left for Pine Street Mackenzie where he was serving as the caretaker of a friend’s house.

The woman said that Alexander, called `Paps’ by relatives, had returned home from his friend’s house last week Saturday and left the following Monday. “Sunday he told us that he didn’t sleep a wink, I don’t know if it was because he was in a strange place or what but he kept saying that he didn’t sleep the Saturday night.” related Campbell.

She said that since Monday relatives were trying to make contact with him but all to no avail. “Every day when I come home I would ask the children if they hear from `Paps’ and every day they keep saying they ain’t hear from him.”

Relatives feared the worst when they received a phone call from one of his friends enquiring of his whereabouts after he visited the Pine Street house and found the door wide open and the dogs in the house.

They subsequently received a call from the Linden police indicating that Alexander’s body was found in the Industrial Area.
