Cemetery Rd hit-and-run victim still in fragile state

Yevette Neptune, a hit and run victim yesterday remained slipping in and out of consciousness in the High Dependency Ward of the Georgetown Public Hospital. No one was visiting her again when this newspaper visited the woman.

Neptune of 3407 Stevedore Housing Scheme is nursing two broken legs which had surgery done on them to insert steel. She also sustained injuries to the head and a fractured neck, the hospital said.

According to reports, the woman was hit by a vehicle on the corner of Norton Street and Cemetery Road some time between the hours of 2.30 to 4 am on Tuesday.

She was said to be lying there until a passing security vehicle picked her up and took her to the hospital.
