Popeye’s tennis tourney serves off tomorrow

The Dynamos Tennis Club, based at the Le Meridien, Pegasus Hotel, will host the Popeye’s Novices/Intermediate Lawn Tennis Tournament this weekend.

The tournament will be contested at the National Park Tennis Courts beginning tomorrow.
The tournament, which is being sponsored by Popeye’s on Vlissengen Road, will see participation in four categories; 12 years-and-under novices, 12 years-and-under intermediates,  18years-and-under novices and 18years-and-under intermediates.

Registration forms for the tournament can be obtained from the tournament coordinator, Ezra Sue-Ho, or from any of the coaches from the varying tennis clubs.

Registration is expected to close today at 3pm, and players are expected to pay a registration fee of $700.
Registration fees will be collected between 8am – 9am on Saturday morning with tournament set to begin at 9am sharp. 

This is the first tournament to be held by the Dynamo’s Tennis Club, which was founded earlier this year and is headed by national tennis coach, Rawle Sue-Ho.

The tournament is aimed at motivating new players to join tennis clubs and become more involved in the game.

The tournament will run from 9am – 3pm tomorrow and from 8:30am – 3pm on Sunday.
