Two held over murder of Columbia woman

Two persons are in police custody following the  murder of a woman whose body was found in a pool of blood in her Columbia, Essequibo Coast home on Saturday afternoon.

According to a release from the police the body of 40-year-old Nandranie Narine was found with wounds to the face and head in her unsecured home at around 4 pm.

The woman lived with her husband in an unfinished house and was last seen alive at around 8:30 am on Saturday when he left for work. The gruesome discovery was made by her son Talesh Narine, who had gone to visit her.
