President Bharrat Jagdeo yesterday approved an allowance of $50,000 for the Toshoas to cover additional expenses they might have incurred during their five-day stay in Georgetown to attend the National Tashaos Council (NTC) meeting.
According to a release from GINA, this reflected an increase of $30,000 based on the $20,000 offered during the previous years.
The increase was granted following representation by the Chairperson of the National Toshaos Council (NTC), Yvonne Pearson.
