District 10 tops Under-12 High Jump, Under-16 Javelin

Upper Demerara/Kwakwani (District 10) rallied to the number one position in the Boys Under-12 High Jump and the Boys Under-16 Javelin competitions of the 50th Annual National Schools Track and Field, Cycling and Swimming Championships at the Providence National Stadium yesterday.

After ending Wednesday in the second position behind District Nine (Rupununi), District 10 made good headway yesterday in the Boys Under-12 High Jump which was won by Daniel Williams.

Williams bettered District Nine’s second place finisher Stephen Glasgow, while District Six (Corentyne) which was third in overall points on Wednesday, placed third in the High Jump when Samuel Jordan finished under Glasgow.

District 10 was again ahead of the competition in the Boys Under-16 Javelin competition, which was won by Timothy Fullington.

Meanwhile, District Two’s (Essequibo Coast/Pomeroon) Fuzal Williams was second and Jason Jack of District Four (East Coast Demerara), third.
