Bandits rob Best businesswoman of $1M in jewels

The police are investigating a robbery on Pulmattie Ramkissoon, 44 years, a businesswoman of Best Village, West Coast Demerara which occurred at about 8.30 last night. Three men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, were involved.

Investigations revealed that Ramkissoon was cleaning her house and her back door was open. The men entered and held her up, along with two other occupants.  They then took away jewellery valued at $1 million and four cellular phones.

Ramkissoon was assaulted to her head during the incident and was treated at the West Demerara Regional Hospital and sent away.
