Grenada announces illegal workers amnesty

(BBC) The Grenada government has announced a three month amnesty for illegals who are employed.

The exact details of when this will take effect are still to be discussed with the Attorney General.

The Labour Ministry said the government was losing money from foreign workers who failed to apply for work permits.

Labour Minister Glynis Roberts said they were also concerned that some employers were bringing in foreign workers who arrived on visitor visas and then tried to apply for work permits.
