Shots fired at Lodge car

Several gunshots were discharged at a parked, unoccupied vehicle in the Lodge Housing Scheme early yesterday morning.

In a press release issued yesterday police said that they were investigating the incident which occurred at about 3.10am. Shots, according to police, were discharged at motor car PMM 2110 which was parked on the roadway.

The windscreen and front bumper of the vehicle, according to police, were damaged. No arrest has made but investigations are ongoing.

The owner of the vehicle could not be reached for a comment. However, a resident told Stabroek News that they heard at least three gunshots sometime around 3am yesterday.

“I was having lil trouble sleeping and all I hear is pow, wow, wow! And right away I get frighten and scramble off the bed on the floor…like about 15 minutes afterwards when I look outside I didn’t see nothing,” the resident said.

It was not until later in the morning, the resident said, that they discovered that someone had shot at a car.
