At about 2.30 am today Zamal Mohamed, Bibi Kadir and Tazeena Ali, all of Diamond, EBD, and taxi driver Aakash Roopnarine of Friendship, EBD were attacked and robbed by three men all armed with handguns.
Police say investigations revealed that Mohamed, Kadir and Ali were disembarking from a motor vehicle driven by Roopnarine at their residence, when the perpetrators held them at gun point and relieved them of a total of $8,700 US, $5,400 TT, jewellery and three cell phones and escaped in a waiting motor car.
