Pollard jumps 15 places in ICC rankings

West Indies allrounder Kieron Pollard jumped 15th places to a career-best 73rd in the latest Reliance Mobile ICC ODI Batting Ranking following his violent 94 of 55 balls against Ireland in Mohali last week. Pollard (473) gained 31 points for his knock and is currently level with his injured teammate Dwayne Bravo.

On the upper half of the table, Ramnaresh Sarwan was demoted from 33rd to 37th for his 10 off 19 balls while Shivnarine Chanderpaul (35 from 62) maintained his 20th position. Opener Chris Gayle, who missed the match with a side strain fell from 12th to 14th. After his third-ball duck, Darren Bravo dropped from 82nd to 90th. The only other West Indians in the top 100 are Runako Morton  (98th) and Narsingh Deonarine (99th).

In the bowling category, captain Darren Sammy hopped from 34th to 29th on the strength of his three for 31 against Ireland, while Sulieman Benn (4-53) went from 38th to 37th to go even with Dwayne Bravo. Kemar Roach (1-35) continued his steady ascent up the chart, moving from 50th to 45th. After 19 ODIs, the Bajan pacer has taken 37 scalps at 19.05 apiece.
