AFC condemns surveillance of MP

The Alliance for Change (AFC) has condemned what it called the suspicious movements outside the office of parliamentarian David Patterson by certain characters.

Two persons, one of whom the party recognised, were caught taking unauthorised photos of Patterson’s office at Durban Backlands on Tuesday at around 1 pm, the party said in a statement yesterday.

AFC said the individual, who is known to the party, was the ringleader of the paid group of protestors who were on two occasions assembled outside its office in Campbellville. “He was apparently appareled with media pass,” the party observed.

AFC said the individual was also present at its Action Plan and Campaign launch at the Ocean View Convention Centre on January 29. “Because of the threat the AFC poses to the present oppressive political regime, it is understood why this alarmed cabal would be attempting to gather intelligence on the AFC,” the party added.

Meanwhile, the AFC said it is advancing undeterred with its vibrant programme to change Guyana.
