Two armed bandits invaded a Chinese Restaurant at Vreed-en-Hoop, West Coast Demerara, on Thursday night and escaped with cash and electronics.
According to a press release issued by the police, they are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at about 8:30pm, during which Zhong Han Gen was attacked and robbed by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
Investigations have so far revealed that Zhong Han Gen was in his restaurant, Lucky Garden, when the men entered and held him at gunpoint. They then took away a laptop computer, a cell phone and $30,000 in cash and escaped in a waiting car.
