Bush Lot, Corentyne man robbed of $2.2M

Two bandits, one of whom was armed with a handgun robbed a businessman of Bush Lot, Corentyne of over $2.2 M around 10 pm on Tuesday at Portuguese Quarters also on the Corentyne.

Police said in a release that Shaho Ibrahim was attacked and robbed of a number of cellular phones worth $2.1 M and eight MP3 players valued $48,000, two gold rings and other articles.

The man who would walk and sell the items was at the time staying with a relative, Ashmin Bacchus.
