The pair have been identified as Nyron Johnson, 21, and Christopher Joseph, 24, who both lived at Second Street, Printeryville Road, O’Meara.

Relatives of the men cried uncontrollably on Monday as they tried to come to terms with their deaths.

The blood-stained sheets, mattresses and floor were shown to the Express by the family of the dead men.

A woman, who identified herself as Johnson’s sister and Joseph’s cousin and asked not to be named, called for swift action by the police in locating the men’s killers and bringing them to justice.

She said her family has been put into an extremely difficult situation following the incident. The scene where they were killed, the woman said, was a very awful reminder of the “senseless and ruthless” crime committed against her relatives.

The woman said other relatives who live in the area were awakened by the gunshots, but paid no attention and were informed sometime later about the murders.

She said as far as relatives were aware, both men were not involved in any confrontation with anyone or in criminal activities. The woman said people in the area often treated Johnson and Joseph as “bobolees” and it was rather unfortunate that both men met their deaths under such circumstances.

The woman said: “They didn’t deserve that kinda death. I mean, every day yuh seeing somebody dying, but you ain’t know it coming to hit home by you. He wasn’t involved in anything. My last two little boys (children), he use to watch them for me when I have to do anything.

“Nyron never interfere with nobody, Christopher neither. You could say these two boys was bobolee. People use to do them whatever they want. This is an injustice for this family. Is ah real injustice and I don’t like that. Right now I want justice for whoever it is kill my brother because is ah hard thing for we right now to be going through this kinda thing.

“…They ain’t even self say they go shoot him in he foot to spare he life. They make sure they blow he brains on the bed, that ain’t making sense. They could ah spare the two of them life, just shoot them in the foot and give them a warning if they really interfere with somebody, which we know they never interfere with anybody.”
