Lewis rides away with Bankers Trust Pre Emancipation Day race

Mark Lewis sped away with the Bankers Trust Pre Emancipation Day Cycling event last Sunday in Linden.

With limited participation at the event, Lewis easily crossed the finish line in first position ahead of cycling counterpart Oselmo Rastaff while Gordon Thompson slipped in at third in the senior category.

While no females participated at the event, the juniors made a showing as Thompson rode away with the junior title at the event ahead of Michael Anthony.

Cash, trophies and prizes were up for grabs in the seven race meet which was sponsored by overseas-based former Guyanese cyclists, Mark and Alwyn Jardine, Cellular Plus and Giftland OfficeMax.
