The players were involved in two hours of tense physical exercises under the watchful eyes of senior coach Adrian Amsterdam, who was assisted by Julian Moore and Winston Smith. Amsterdam disclosed that with most of the players unfit after a long layoff from cricket due to the rainy weather, the emphasis was to slowly get the players into shape physically before starting to practice on the pitch. The players are expected to train at home and would be closely monitored by the coaches.

Chairman of the BCB Special Events Committee, Hilbert Foster, who co-ordinated the programme, disclosed that the sessions will be held twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays, while several practice matches will be organised in an effort to get the players ready for the upcoming Guyana Cricket Board tournaments. The programme is expected to last for two months.
