As part of a regional initiative made possible by Caribbean Airlines, the Caribbean Village Cricket T10 competition will bowl off today in Guyana at the Meten-Meer-Zorg Community Centre Ground, West Coast Demerara in an inter-county format.
The respective squads, Demerara, Essequibo and Berbice, are made up of players who have not represented their respective counties within the last five years.
Following the completion of the one day tournament, players will be selected to represent Guyana. That team will then participate in the Caribbean Village Cricket regional tournament slated for Trinidad and Tobago on May 4-5.
Some of the players who will be on show tomorrow include former national opener Shemroy Barrington and former Stanford T20 winner Imran Khan.
Demerara will face Essequibo from 10 AM while Essequibo plays Berbice at 12:30 PM followed by Demerara vs Berbice from 2:30PM.
