Not a businessman

Dear Editor,

I would like to verify that I would be a candidate for the APNU in upcoming general elections. I would, however, like to request that you correct your reference to me as a businessman. I am a qualified geotechnical engineer and groundwater hydrologist. I was a Guyana Bauxite Company scholar who attended and graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. I also attended and graduated from Drexel University, Philadelphia. I am a member of the Association of Soil and Foundation Engineers, a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a licensed professional engineer (GE32033) in the State of New Jersey. I object to your placing me in the same category of esteemed individuals such as businessman Shaheed (Roger) Khan and his associates.

Yours faithfully,
Charles Ceres
