The GuySuCo Training Centre-Port Mourant (GTC-PM) volleyball team seemed unstoppable as action resumed in the Berbice Volleyball Association’s Reggie Goberdhan Memorial League Competition in the Lower Corentyne Zone.
According to a press release, the tournament had to be curtailed due to inclement weather and the conditions of some grass courts.
Displaying youthful energy GTC-PM defeated the Albion Volleyball team twice, with a 3-0 score line in both matches. The games ended 25-15, 25-15, 25-13 and 25-15, 25-16 and 25-17.
GTC-PM was also awarded a walkover in a third encounter against the Albion team and will now clash with Port Mourant (PM) Jaguars this week.
Shifting to the New Amsterdam–Canje Zone, Rollers defeated Falcons of Reliance 25-21, 25-22 and 25-14 to extend their win column on Falcons after defeating them in September.
Meanwhile the top team in each zone will have to measure their skills against each other in the final slated for December 4.
