Courts rings in the festive season

Scores of spectators flocked Main Street on Thursday evening to usher in the Christmas spirit at the 11th annual Courts Christmas Tree Light-up.

A Government Information Agency press release said onlookers joined Minister of Labour Manzoor Nadir and Minister of Human Services and Social Security Priya Maickchand to welcome Santa and his team including Dora the Explorer, Sponge Bob and Spiderman. Spectators were also treated to musical accompaniment by the Majek Fingers drummers; they joined Lisa Punch and Jackie Hanover in singing Christmas carols and were entertained with performances from the National School of Dance and the National Dance Company.

Courts Managing Director Clyde De Haas said the furniture store aims to bring value into its customer’s homes by providing them with the best.

He also referred to its Christmas promotions such as the ‘Buy Now Pay Nothing Down’ offer. Lindener Gwyneth Boheim, who won the $2M in Courts vault promotion, also attended the festivities.
