In presenting the facts Prosecutor Jairam Luckhai told the court that on the day at about 2:30 hours  the Virtual Complainants (VC) were consuming alcoholic beverages at a beer garden when a heated argument ensued between a female bartender and Oral who abused the woman. As a result the accused got involved and drew a knife from his pants and dealt the man four stabs about his body. In an attempt to rescue the injured man the number two VC put up a resistance and he also sustained several stabs from the accused to his upper body. The wounded men were rushed to the hospital and were given medical attention.

The prosecutor after narrating the facts objected to bail, contending that the man would not return to court.
Young was refused bail by the magistrate who remanded him to prison until the matter is called again on December 6.
