Grievous bodily harm charge attracts $150,000 bail

A man was placed on $150,000 bail on Friday after appearing before Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on a charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm on another man.

John Primo, 51, of Norton Street, Lodge, was not required to plead to the indictable charge. It is alleged that on May 25, Primo caused grievous bodily harm to Karon Fill. Fill’s left hand was bandaged when he appeared in court on Friday.

The prosecution did not object to bail but asked that the amount be substantial. Bail was granted and the accused was ordered to return to court on June 18.
