Vendor charged with causing grievous bodily harm

A vendor was on Wednesday ordered to post $60,000 bail after appearing in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court and being charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm.

The charge against 34-year-old Delon Crandon (address not provided) alleges that on November 1 at King Street, George-town, he maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm on Gordon Branch.

Crandon pleaded not guilty to the charge which was read to him by Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus in Court 2 and was granted bail in the sum of $60,000.

He was also ordered to stay 100 feet away from the virtual complainant and to report to the Brickdam Police Station every Friday until the conclusion of the matter.

The father of one is expected to make his next court appearance on December 14 for statements.
