Grimes, Archer spearhead GRA win over GPC

The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) football team defeated a team from the Guyana Pharmaceutical Cooperation (GPC) 3-0 to reach the quarter finals of the PowerAde Inter Ministries/Corporation seven-a-side football tournament at the Banks DIH Thirst Park ground, recently.

A double from Lionel Grimes in the 14th and 23th minutes and Kevin Archer’s 29th minute strike were enough to send GRA through to the next round.|

The quarter final action will commence on Saturday at the Banks DIH ground Thirst Park. Games will kick off at 6 pm (18:00) sharp.
In the first match GNSC will take on Republic Bank after which Bank of Guyana will come against Guyana Revenue Authority. In other matches John Fernandes Limited will play the Ministry of Tourism while Banks DIH will battle J&S Electrical. The winning team will receive $250, 000 with the second, third and fourth-placed finishers receiving $175,000, $75, 000 and $25, 000 respectively.
