Rotary Club of Georgetown holds installation ceremony

The Rotary Club of Georgetown held its installation ceremony on June 29 at the Georgetown Club, Camp Street, Georgetown.

A large percentage of the club members turned out along with members of the Rotary Family – Inner Wheelers and Rotaractors, friends and guests to witness the auspicious event and to share in the celebrations  of the ending of one year and the beginning of a new year, a press release stated.

In his acceptance speech, President Khalil Alli outlined plans for the New Year, including projects expected to span three years.

He is quoted in the release as saying that “the idea is to develop models of projects that can be easily replicated in several areas across Guyana year after year.”

He also highlighted the ‘strategic plan’ which was accepted at a recent Club Assembly and is confident that he has the right team on board to assist with the execution of this plan.
