Guyana’s quest for medals suffered a slight setback when Judoka Raul Lall of the Rising Sun Doho, was defeated by Saudi Arabia’s Eisa Majrashi in the Men’s, 60kg second round clash on Saturday.
Olympic medal hopeful Lall, had reached the round 32 of the Men’s, 60kg Judo competition before being eliminated as the London 2012 Olympic Games continued on Saturday after Friday’s opening.
Lall had gained a bye in the first round.
Majrashi scored an ippon in the first round and never looked back.
Swimmers Niall Roberts and Britany van Lange will see action tomorrow in the 100m freestyle event while the athletes, Jeremy Bascom, Aliann Pompey and Winston George will swing into action later this week when the track and field competition commences.
