Moraikobai Toshao, Derrick John was chosen the new Chairperson of the National Toshaos Council (NTC) on Wednesday evening when 20 toshaos were elected to the Executive Board at the end of the third day of the NTC conference, the Govern-ment Information Agency (GINA) reported.
The new chairman at a press conference held at theGuyana International Confer-ence Centre, Lilien-daal, at the end of the elections, acknowledged that there are tremendous challenges ahead but with the support of the minister (Minister of Amerindian Affairs Pauline Sukhai), the ministry and fellow toshaos, the team will be able to deliver.
