No arrests yet in Western Union robbery

No arrests have been made in the Survival Supermarket, Western Union, robbery on Monday last, but the police have video footage in their possession that they are reviewing to assist them with their investigations, Crime Chief, Seelall Persaud, said.

Persaud also said that they were unable to ascertainwhether the five bandits were armed when they carried out the attack, but about $6 million to $7 million were missing.

The bandits broke into the Western Union office around 3 am and tied up the three security guards before they carted off the cash. A source reported that after the thieves had tied up the guards, they then proceeded to break the safe and remove the cash.
