The suspect, who initially evaded police capture, was apprehended around 6.30 am yesterday. Relatives of the victim received information that he was in the minibus and they contacted the police. Ranks on the East Coast were subsequently alerted.

A resident told this newspaper that persons would usually go to the shack belonging to the amputee and “gamble and that does cause fights.”

Isaacs received injuries to his right arm and stomach and was rushed to the Fort Wellington Hospital. He succumbed in the ambulance on his way to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The main suspect and several others were arrested on the night of the murder.
