Surinamese arriving today for Inter-Guiana Games

The Suriname delegation is arriving midday today to compete in the Annual inter-Guiana Games, which will start off with the time trials for cycling on Sunday morning.

Director of Sport Neil Kumar said the delegation will be hosted at the Ocean View Hotel. Later in the day the technical and administrative meeting will be convened.

Early Sunday morning the time trials will pedal off at the National Park followed by the road race at West Demerara at 2pm.  The march past will be held at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall along with the volleyball competition and the closing ceremony. The Chess match will be held at the Ocean View Hotel.

Next week, the Guyana team will travel to Suriname to compete in the basketball and table tennis matches.
