Magistrate Sueann Lovell on Wednesday postponed the Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the murder of Anfernee Bowman at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court after the prosecution stated that investigations into the case were not yet completed.
Defence counsel Mark Waldron noted that his client has to remain in custody due to the prosecution’s tardiness. He further stated that the prosecution’s inability to summon their witnesses to the stand is not understandable.
Samuel Cornelius, the accused, was remanded to prison until April 2 when the PI will continue. Cornelius is accused of murdering Bowman on February 27 at Aubrey Barker Road, South Ruimveldt Park.
