The highly anticipated Digital Technology/`Chow Pow’ 10/10 Challenge Series got underway at 10am last Sunday at the Wales Center Ground with wins for Recharge and Farm XI over Regal XI and Omesh XI respectively.
The first two games of the tournament were played simultaneously on different pitches.
Batting first Regal XI scored 97-7 from their allotted 10 overs with Omesh Narine top scoring with 43.
However, that total proved too small for the challengers who came out with guns blazing and scored the first upset of the tournament with one over to spare.

Recharge XI 102 -5 (Kwason Joseph 34, Quincy Jones 32).
In the second match Farm XI defeated Omesh XI.
Farm XI scored 118-3 with Rajesh Reddi scoring 50 not out and Avinash Sookdeo 41. Rafi Mohamed took 2-17. Omesh XI in reply fell two runs short ending on 116-4 Aftab Bacchus topscored with 45 while John Singh grabbed 2-18.
The tournament continues this Saturday at the same venue.
