Dear Editor,
It is over four months since my neighbours and I have been experiencing difficulties sleeping, due to the annoying sounds emitting from a generator being used by a resident to provide electricity to his home in 5th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, Bartica. This equipment is usually in operation from the afternoon until the wee hours in the morning.
It has also affected our school-age children who are sometimes found sleeping during class sessions, while those preparing for the CXC examinations are unable to study.
We would be grateful if those in authority could resolve this matter as soon as possible, so that we can have a peaceful night’s rest, and enable our children to be fully prepared for the CXC examination which will be held in a few weeks.
