Guyana extends condolences to Kenya

 

The Guyana Government extends condolences to the government and people of Kenya on the loss of innocent lives as a result of the siege at the Westgate Shopping Centre in Nairobi, Kenya which started on Saturday afternoon.

“We express our full solidarity with the Kenyan authorities in their efforts to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice…,” President Donald Ramotar said in a press release.

The Guyana Government unequivocally condemns this atrocious terrorist act and will continue to support the initiatives of the international community to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, Ramotar said. The president also extended sympathy to the relatives of the victims and to Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta on his personal loss.
