Rohee still in hospital

PPP General Secretary and Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee, who was hospitalised on Thursday night at the Woodlands Hospital, is currently in stable condition and being kept in a private room.

Stabroek News was told that Rohee was feeling ill since Thursday morning and staff at Woodlands was on standby should his condition worsen.

Rohee was not present for the sitting of the National Assembly which caused many to question where he was given the fact that the controversial anti-money laundering amendment bill was to be debated.

Former Home Affairs Minister Gail Teixeira subsequently related that Rohee, on the advice of his physician, had checked into Woodlands as a precautionary measure.
