Young spinner shines in Jamaica’s second trial match

KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC- Aspiring young Jamaican spinner, Donovan Nelson, increased his chances of national selection with a six wicket haul during the second two-day warm-up trial match which ended here on Monday.

Nelson, a 23 year old leg spinner, claimed six wickets for 29 runs, the best haul by any bowler in the two day trial matches to date.

His impressive bowling effort however was insufficient as his team Bonner X1 lost on first innings to Paul Palmer’s Jr X1 on the second day.

Nelson is a former West Indies Under-19 player.
